The Edgework Intensive is a 5-hour deep dive into the mechanics, technique, and artistry behind edgework.
Beginning barefoot, Emily Laura guides you through conditioning and movement drills designed to strengthen the feet, improve alignment, and build a deeper understanding of how the body moves
in heels.
From there, you’ll explore the key foundations that underpin edgework, including weight transfers, balance, centre of gravity, initiation of movement, and how to fully utilise different parts of the shoe.
Throughout the day, these concepts are applied to a range of signature edgework movements, transitions, and flowing sequences, helping you develop smoother, stronger, and more controlled movement.
Suitable for both newer and experienced edgework dancers, this intensive blends detailed technical understanding with beautiful movement vocabulary to elevate your heels technique from the ground up.
